Steam room: 45°C that feels harder than 90°C
At 100% humidity sweat cannot evaporate. Your body loses its cooling route — which is exactly why steam feels so much more intense.
The physics people get backwards
People assume a steam room is gentler because the number is smaller. It's the opposite. At 90°C dry, sweat evaporates and cools your skin. At 45°C in saturated steam, evaporation stops completely — the heat has nowhere to go. An honest steam session is usually shorter than a dry sauna session.
In Bandung, drainage is everything
The ambient humidity here is already high before you switch the generator on. A steam room built without correct floor falls, layered waterproofing and calculated exhaust ventilation will grow mould — not might, will. It's the part general contractors cut first and the most expensive thing to fix.

What's the difference between a steam room and a dry sauna?

Do steam rooms grow mould in Bandung?
Not if drainage, waterproofing and ventilation are designed properly. If they're cut, yes — and Bandung is unforgiving. It's why we don't offer a 'budget' steam room.
How long should a steam session be?
Generally shorter than a dry sauna, around 10–15 minutes per round. Listen to your body, not the clock.
